On October 7th, 2023, the Palestinian gunman group known as Hamas fired rockets and stormed Israeli towns in Gaza. This was a surprise and during a Jewish holiday known as Shemini Atzeret. The attack left over 250 dead. Hostages were also taken. As of now, at least 1,500 were wounded. Israel retaliated with missiles as a result. According to Palestinian sources, at least 230 Gazans and 1,700 were left wounded.

"Hamas wants to murder us all," Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said. He had declared war on Hamas.
Biden had declared support for Israel. He had even sent
Trump had blamed Biden for sending $6 billion to Iran.
A spokesperson for the State Department denied the idea that Biden caused this war, claiming the money had been sent to Qatar and not Iran.
As of now, Trump's claim cannot be proven.
That particular deal was made such that American prisoners in Iran would be freed. However, this was also met with pushback. That deal was made in the middle of September.
Iran has publically displayed support for the Hamas attacks.
