FBI Warrant On Trump - What We Know

On August 8, 2022, the FBI searched the Mar-a-Lago while Trump was away in New Jersey. The FBI had a warrant to do so given by Judge Bruce Reinhart, and the FBI reportedly searched very quietly. However, their intent to keep this search under the covers failed as Former President Donald Trump had announced that there was a 'raid' on his home, publically slamming the event.

The FBI conducted the search to investigate the possibility that Trump was violating the Presidential Records Act or mishandling classified documents. While Secret Service is supposed to protect the Former President, some reports say Secret Service was aware of the FBI's search ahead of time.

Trump reportedly says he will invoke his fifth amendment rights and refuse to answer questions in the New York Attorney General Probe.
