Chinese migrants in the US

Currently, many Chinese immigrants are illegally passing the borders through the giant gate that blocks Mexico from the United States. They are doing this by going through a small gap on the side of the wall that lets you into the United States from Mexico. Chinese immigrants found this out through Tik Tok trends, and so many immigrants are doing the same. But why not go through the airport? Or why even do this at all?

The reason why the Chinese immigrants are doing these illegal crossings instead of going on an airplane is because of money. For under 12,000 dollars, travelers can pay taxi drivers, smugglers, and arrange transportations going to the north of Mexico, including boat rides, guides, and optional rainforest crossing, which is beautiful. But for 20,000 dollars or more, travelers can pay for airplane rides, and get you straight into the U.S. For spending less money, you gain more from going on taxis and boats than going on airplanes. Thus, which is why many of the immigrants are doing this.

Through the many talks that reporters and the Chinese immigrants had, one of the reasons they left is because of freedom. America is known for being a free country, and if you look at every other country, the one thing that the U.S. has that no other country has is freedom. Quote from one of the immigrants

Another reason the Chinese immigrants left was because of economic problems. Ever since Covid, many people suffered and Jobs were hard to get. Many businesses had to shut down because of Covid, and this led to the only solution that the people had, and that was America.

A news broadcast called 60 Minutes, shows footage of some of the Chinese immigrants passing through and interviewing them as they walk by. That's how reporters found out the true intentions behind the Chineses immigrants. But there's something that people see that is unusual that the Chinese immigrants are doing. Chinese immigrants are throwing their passports into the nearby forest. 

When someone throws their passports away, it means that you lose the one thing that identifies them under law. So when the Chinese immigrants are passing illegally, they throw away their passports so that they become refugees.
