On September 20th, 2023-- and the following week-- Auto workers in Detroit are going on strike against the Big Three automakers, General Motors, Ford Motor Company, and Chrysler. These strikes are hosted by the United Auto Workers, a workers union that fights for the sake of workers across the economy of North America.
These workers are asking for things like fair treatment, time to spend with their families, and increased pay, among other things.

Now, these things together are part of the mission of the UAW to find equal pay, fair treatment, and fewer work hours.
This current strike is not a new concept. Strikes and unions are an engrained part of Detroit's history.
For now, we shall observe how this Union strike will affect the laborer's work life and economy.
