There is currently discussion about what gun owners should do in case of a shooting; many are using the Greenwood Park Mall shooting as an example of what one should do during a shooting. Lawrance Police Chief Gary Woodruff says, "Comply with what the officer is saying. Return the firearm to your carrying solution or whatever you're carrying your firearm in and make sure your hands are clearly visible."
He says responsible gun owners should put the gun down after neutralizing the threat and wait for police while keeping their hands up.
Elisjsha Dicken was honored with a congressional tribute for his decisive action in the shooting that helped keep many people safe.
Currently, that is all. We await until the case is closed.
